A song written for me . . .maybe a little bit of a stereotype, but very sweet and romantic, too.
A Belgian waffle maker from my mother-in-law. So much more than an appliance, it let me know she liked my cooking and wanted to share many mornings with the family.
The most thoughtful gift I have ever received is a HUGE, HUGE tropical bouquet (sp?) of flowers on my birthday!

First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
The most thoughtful gift was a nice gold locket that my Grandmother had brought for me, right before she passed away. She had inserted both my sons photo’s in it and had it engraved with the year and my initials. (both my & her initials are the same) This to me was the most thoughtful gift that I’ve ever received and of course, it’s very sentimental too.
one of those small pillows, filled with seeds, that can be heated up in a microwave oven
Several years ago my husband was diagnosed with cancer and we didn’t feel up to dealing with a Christmas tree. My ten year old granddaughter (with her own time and money) bought, decorated and delivered a beautiful little tree to us.
One year for Christmas, my sister gave me a mug that said “Sister are tied together with heartstrings” and I still use it to this day.
One Christmas a new boyfriendin a new city gave me a list of all the things he wanted to do together in the coming year - events, trips, restaurants, etc. We did most of them!

At 32 I am fortunate enough to have a full set of grandparents. My grandmother has made me/my kids several blankets, hats, scarfs and mittens over the years. I LOVE them all!
The most thoughtful gift I’ve ever received was a dragon electric ball (those kind where you put your hands on it and the electricity follows it). I love it to death!

A beautiful quilt my Mom made me for my freshman year at college.
My husband gave me a Kitchenaid mixer one year. I wanted one so bad, but never dreamed I would get one. Thanks for the chance.

Every year my mother sends a Target gift card with my birthday present. It comes in so handy.
A hand-crafted aluminum ring to balance a strainer, so it wouldn’t topple and spill the contents, which would burn me.

My dad gave me a model convertible cause he knew I always wanted a real one.
My husband picked me up with a flower in a vase when we were dating. Then he drove around and every time we saw pretty flowers, whether in a field or a business complex, he’d stop the car, jump out, and grab one for me to add to my bouquet.
My good friend who creates beautiful videos as a career, gave me a video she made of my wedding, including everything from baby pictures of when I was a kid up to video of me dancing with my dad at the wedding. I was touched.

the most thoughtful gift i received was a card from my wife for x-mas-what she wrote meant the word to me
The most memorable gift was my first Father’s Day present from my wife and daughter. My wife had given me a watch when we got married about 5 years before (when we were poor college students, and it was the best she could afford). It had stopped working recently, but I’d kept wearing it anyway. They got me a new one after trying to fix the old one unsuccessfully.
The most thoughtful gift I ever recieved was a purse from my boyfriend. He’s not at all in touch with his feminine side, but wanted to get me one and picked it out all by himself. Happy Birthday!
A day off. One year I was very stressed. My husband made sure there was one perfectly quiet day for me, a day when I didn’t have to do a single thing. I was touched that he’d noticed how stressed I was, as I tried to keep it hidden.
Any gift my children have given me are deeply treasured especially if they made them.
The most thoughtful gift I have ever received was from my sister, 2 Christmas’s ago. She gave me a photo book with a fairytale story she had written about my wedding day. The pictures were amazing and the words were so thoughtful. I cried while I read the words she had written, it was honestly the most amazing thing anyone has ever done for me.
The best gift that I received was a ring that said MOM. It was my first mother’s day gift.
The most thoughtful give I ever received was from my husband 6 months after we began dating. I had a special blue topaz ring that my parents had given my for my high school graduation many years before that I never took off. While we were out one day the ring fell off at some point and we spent the whole next day trying to find it. I was so upset to have lost the ring but much to my surprise one month later he showed up with a surprise. He had taken of photo of me wearing the ring to a local jeweler and had them make as close a copy of it as they could. It was such a huge surprise and I knew that day that he was the man I was going to marry.
Thanks!

A trip for me and my siblings
My husband made me a little silver ring from a bolt when he was at sea in the Navy. He put so much time into it. It’s my most prized possession.
Thanks to everyone for sharing your stories. I am amazed at the thoughtfulness of the people in our lives. What I’ve learned from reading the comments is that often times it is the little gestures in life that make the biggest difference.
My aunt made beautiful ceramic Santa Clauses. All of them are different and I cherish them. She is gone now but I will always be thankful the the way she made me feel-SPECIAL.
My most thoughtful gift was a dvd of my favorite movie that I searched for for years and couldn’t find. My husband found one in France and had it shipped here and gave it to me for my birthday!

The most thoughtfull gift I have ever received was much needed cash…I know it seems so unpersonal, but they knew I was barely scratching by with Winter bills and Christmas…
Thats hard. The most thoughtful gift would be my Daughter she is adopted but is the best gift anyone has ever gave me! My parents because they are the best and are always willing to give. My friends because I might have chose to be friends with them but they choose to love me. I have had the occasional toll paid by the car in front of me when I was down to no money thats always a blessing even if it is only a dollar! I have had a stranger pay my gas for no reason and I am a single mom that is a HUGE blessing…So when you ask for the most thoughtful how can I choose….
One Christmas, I was 8 months pregnant and had a one-year-old and two-year-old. My husband had recently lost his job, as had I. I asked for my family to be placed on a prayer list…a few weeks later, numerous boxes showed up at my front door. They contained gifts upon gifts upon gifts, for everyone in the family…plus a check for $250 to help with bills. I get choked up just thinking about it. What a special, amazing gift.
a laptop from my true love, it was a complete surprise and something I needed and wanted, already set up for me
My husband bought me a snoopy snowcone machine one year for Christmas. He made me tear up because I had once told him I asked for it every year as a child and never got it. It was so sweet
That’s awesome. I still want my snoopy snowcone machine.
